ANULOM VILOM
Also known as Alternate Nostril Breathing or Nadi Shodhana, Anulom Vilom is a traditional yogic pranayama technique that gently restores balance to the body and mind.
In Sanskrit, “Nadi” means energy channel, and “Shodhana” means cleansing or purification. This practice works by harmonising the subtle energy pathways in the body, especially the ida nadi (associated with the moon, the feminine, and the left side of the body) and the pingala nadi (associated with the sun, the masculine, and the right side).
Through this balancing of opposites—cooling and warming, calming and energising—Anulom Vilom helps bring the nervous system into equilibrium, calms the mind, and prepares the body for deeper states of stillness and awareness.
I hope you feel calm, centered, and balanced after this practice.
